CLARITY Act & RWA Regulatory Framework
How US Regulation Is Opening the RWA Gateway
The CLARITY Act establishes definitional clarity between digital commodities and digital securities, creating a compliant pathway for tokenized real-world assets to reach institutional investors in the United States. For blockchain infrastructure designed from the ground up for ISO 20022 compliance — like the TX Network — the CLARITY Act represents a regulatory green light.
The SEC's issuance of Release 33-11412 established the Digital Collectible classification for culturally significant blockchain assets like edumemes. This provides institutional legibility, separating the edumeme category from both securities and utility tokens — enabling projects like $MART to operate with clear regulatory positioning.
DTCC × Stellar: The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation selected Stellar as the first public blockchain for tokenized securities settlement in 2026 — a landmark institutional endorsement proving that purpose-built, ISO 20022-compatible blockchains are the preferred infrastructure for regulated RWA tokenization.
